R Classic series

In the naming convention adopted by BMW, the Boxer engine is identified with the letter R at the beginning of the model name. Even before further letters were used to identify the nature of the model (RT, GS, XR) the letter R identified only the naked, street models. The Boxer shape has always been the foundation in the production of the Bavarian house. Only considering the models starting from the 70s BMW has equipped different versions, varying the displacement from the R45 through R75 and R65, in the following 80s the technical evolution has always been accompanied by the new displacements R100 and R80.These Classic models have always been the reference of BMW production, made of reliability, solidity and continuity.
